UWM - Northwest Quad Redevelopment Plan

One Source Consulting in conjunction with Quorum Architects has been selected by University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Wisconsin Departmetn of State Facilities and the University of Wisconsin System to provide site planning services for the long range redevelopment plan for UWM's Northwest Quadrant.  The project involves adding 900,000 SF of much needed academic, research and support space to the rapidly growing campus on the east side of Milwaukee.

STH 19 Roundabout - Waunakee, WI

One Source Consulting in conjunction with MTJ Engineering and the WisDOT SW Region will be developing the three-dimensional corridor model and construction plans for the multi-lane roundabout in the heart of Waunakee's downtown.

WisDOT 2010 Excellence in Highway Design Finalist

One Source Consulting nominated by WisDOT for a 2010 Excellence in Highway Design award for CTH V for Waukesha County as part of the 2009 ARRA construction season.  The segement of rural highway utilized heater scarified hot-in-place recycling process to rejuvenate the existing asphalt surface course and extend the service life of the pavement for 15-20 years.

The hot-in-place process was approved for the use for the first time on a Wisconsin Department of Transportation project as an experimental technique based on the record of success Waukesha County has experienced over the last 5 years.

University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Childrens Center

The Wisconsin Division of State Facilities and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee have selected Quorum Architects in conjunction with Pace Architects and One Source Consulting to design new space for the Childrens Center in the newly acquired Northwest Quadrant (former Columbia St. Marys hospital campus). Construction is scheduled for May 2012.

Silver City Townhomes recognized for excellence

Winners of the 12th Annual Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation, or MANDI Awards, were announced at a gala event at the Pfister Hotel, Wednesday night, March 30th. The MANDI Awards are hosted by LISC Milwaukee with sponsorship from US Bank. The sold-out event brought together corporate leaders, neighborhood development groups, and government officials to honor outstanding efforts to revitalize Milwaukee's central city neighborhoods.

The Silver City Townhomes project was selected as the winner of the State Farm Building Blocks Award. Together, Wisconsin Redevelopment and Layton Boulevard West Neighbors have provided quality, affordable home ownership opportunities for 20 families, within walking distance to the Silver City Main Street's amazing international dining opportunities, a number of new employment centers in the Menomonee Valley, the Hank Aaron State Trail, and Miller Park.

Wisconsin Avenue Extension - Brookfield, WI

One Source Consulting in conjunction with Traffic Analysis & Design has been selected by the City of Brookfield to provide preliminary design engineering services for the extension of Wisconsin Avenue to Pilgrim Parkway. The study includes a range of modifications to the nearby Watertown Plank Road intersection including realignment. Multi-lane roundabouts and well signalized intersections alternatives have been developed to fully explore real estate impacts and construction costs in conjunction with operational differences between the alternatives.

Donze named WisDOT Qualified Roundabout Designer

Craig Donze, P.E. & LEED AP, has been designated as a Qualified Roundabout Designer by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). This certification makes Donze one of just 24 individuals in Wisconsin and 32 individuals nationwide to achieve this designation. The qualification is especially valuable, since all roundabout projects in Wisconsin with WisDOT or Federal funding require the design to be completed or reviewed by a Qualified Designer. In addition, local agencies and other states have referred to the WisDOT Qualified Designer list when selecting firms for local projects..

WisDOT has one of, if not the most developed, roundabout design guidance manuals and qualification processes. To become qualified, engineers must provide information on their experience with roundabout projects. After reviewing all of the submittals, select individuals are interviewed in Madison by a seven-member panel of WisDOT staff. Final qualification is based on both the interview and project experience..

Donze, has designed and constructed numerous single and multi-lane roundabouts projects in southeastern Wisconsin over the past 10 years with a focus on truck accommodations, ride quality and smoothness and stakeholder outreach.

Silver Spring Drive - Menomonee Falls, WI

One Source Consulting in conjunction with GRAEF has been selected by Waukesha County DPW to complete the environmental impact assessment and preliminary design engineering services associated with the expansion of Silver Spring Drive in the western portions of Menomonee Falls. The project includes two new bridges over the Fox River at Lannon Road and will include impacts to Butler's Gartersnake habitat, an endangered species in Wisconsin.

One Source Consulting was selected by Waukesha County to design vertical improvements to an segement of highway where a significant number of high severity crashes were occuring on a regular basis.

As part of the project a single lane roundabout is being installed at an adjacent two-way stop controlled intersection as part of the long term solution to deficiencies identified in the safety audity and intersection capacity analysis.  Our services included geometric design, signing and marking, storm sewer design, corridor modeling and final plan production.  Anticipated construction project costs $800,000.

CTH Y at Woods Intersection - Muskego, WI

One Source Consulting in conjunction with Traffic Analysis & Design has been selected by Waukesha County DPW to provide design engineering services for the intersection widening and signalization project adjacent to the Muskego High School campus. Construction will occur in the summer of 2011.

CTH SR at CTH M Intersection - Pewaukee & Brookfield, WI

One Source Consulting was selected by Waukesha County DPW to provide construction management services for the intersection widening and signalization project. Construction was completed on-time and within the allocated County capital budget.

Various ARRA Resurfacing Projects - Waukesha County, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected by Waukesha County DPW to provide design services for three Hot-In-Place resurfacing projects that were selected as Stage 2 Economic Stimulus Local Roads Projects. The projects are administered by WisDOT and funded 100% by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The WisDOT PS&E process was completed in four short months time.

Craig Donze becomes LEED Accredited

Craig Donze, PE with One Source Consulting, has been designated a LEED© Accredited Professional in New Construction (LEED AP-NC) through the Green Building Certification Institute.

According to the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process. Donze has been in the construction and development industry since 1993, a registered professional engineer since 2008, and founded One Source Consulting in 2007.

In addition, Donze has been a leader in educating owner's in sustainable site designs and how the techniques can be constructed in a cost effective manner to balance project needs, budget and regulatory requirements.

One Source Consulting has been selected by Waukesha County DPW to provide construction management services for a single lane modern roundabout to be constructed on Racine Avenue this summer.

St. Dominic's Church - Brookfield, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected to provide entitlement assistance and site design services associated with an on-going master planning efforts. Other project team members include Moore Construction Services and Innovative Architects.

Fortune Restaurant - West Allis, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected by JLA & Associates to provide site design services associated with the construction of a building addition and parking lot expansion along STH 100.

CTH SR at CTH M Intersection Reconstruction - Pewaukee & Brookfield, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected by Waukesha County to provide final design services associated with installation of a new signalized intersection. The project will be constructed in conjunction with the replacement of the Springdale Road bridge over the Fox River during the 2009 construction season.

Brookfield Prayer Center - Brookfield, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected by the Islamic Society of Milwaukee to provide entitlement assistance and site design services associated with construction of a new Masjid to serve the growing Muslim population in northeastern Waukesha County. Other project team members include Quorum Architects.

CTH Y at Kelsey Drive Roundabout - Muskego, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected by Waukesha County to provide final design services associated with construction of a single lane roundaboout at an intersection with one of the highest crash rates in the County. The project is scheduled to be constructed during the summer of 2009 and remain open to traffic during construction.

Fireman's Park Improvements - Germantown, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected by the Village of Germantown to provide design services associated with construction of a new basketball court adjacent to the newly renovated Senior Center. Other project team members include Capitol Survey and PSI, Inc. The project is located on Friestadt Road west of Germantown High School.

Existing Conditions Research - Pewaukee, WI

One Source Consulting was selected to provide existing conditions research on behalf of the parcel owner in advance of sale activities. The purpose of the study was to familiarize prospective project team members and investors with the current site conditions. It is anticipated that the report will be used by investors, buyers, and financial institutions to develop feasable project alternatives and during the preparation of project proformas.

Pete's Fruit Market - Milwaukee, WI

One Source Consulting was selected by Pete's Marketplace to provide site infrastructure design services, construction staging, land division, and associated construction document preparation for the construction of a multi-story retail fruit market located at 14th & Greenfield in the heart of the Hispanic community in the City of Milwaukee.

Lion's Legend Park - Franklin, WI

Quorum Architects and One Source Consulting has been selected by the City of Franklin and the Franklin Historical Society for the design of accessible paths to serve four historical structures in Lion's Legend Park adjacent to the Franklin City Hall. The project is part of a CBDG-PF Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.

One Source Consulting in conjunction with MTJ Engineering and RA Smith National has been selected by Waukesha County to redesign this busy intersection and critical link between Bluemound Road and Capital Drive. A mulit-lane roundabout and signalized intersection will both be evaluted to select a solution that best reduces the impacts to the surrounding neighborhood, floodplain, wetlands, and Butler's Gartersnake habitat.

DRS Technologies - Milwaukee, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected by DRS Technologies to provide site civil design services for a multi-phased renovation and consolidation of existing operating space within their facility located in the heart of the 30th Street Industrial Corridor. Other project team members include HGA, Berghammer Construction, RA Smith National, Metropolitan Survey and PSI.

Somers Market Center - Somers, WI

One Source Consulting has been selected by WillowTree Development to provide site civil design services for a retail building on Lot 18 of the $25 million retail development to be anchored by Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. The project is located at the northwest corner of Highway 31 and Washington Road (CTH S).
